The Docs Girl

I receive a pretty generous discount through the company I work for to Urban Outfitters and it makes it way more possible to indulge myself in some quality items I'd have to save up for otherwise. On that list, has always been a pair of classic Dr. Marten's. So I've been on the look out for Urban to have them and a little gift got delievered to my door today. They're the Worn In classic 1460 boot in black. Click for page, here By "worn in" it basically means you don't have to go through the entire break in process that Dr.Marten's are pretty known for. They're pretty comfortable right off the bat but I completely suggest ordering them true to size, these aren't the kinds of shoes you can size down and think you're feet are gonna look cute and small. You will be fucked. Don't even try. Half size? Size up. These also look really silly when they're too small, they're the kind of shoe you have to embrace the bulkiness. And they're classics, so its okay. The toe cap won't stretch out at all so you're toes will be bent and shoved for eternity. These also come with a lifetime warranty that if something goes wrong with them, they'll fix them for you. They really could last you forever, so I'll always say I believe they're worth every penny. Plus, I don't know an outfit these don't go perfectly with. So, yes, I'm a fan and I recommend these 100%
Also, funny story. I went to my mother's friend's salon in New York years ago and there was a front desk girl: dark hair, dark outfit, I think a skirt and with these Docs and for some reason I always remember her. She just looked perfect, everything about her made her that kind of girl I looked at and admired, even just sitting at a front desk. Strange the simple things that stick and she has no idea. The people that inspire me are strange but there's an ongoing list that racks up in the back of my brain that I refer to daily.
