The Hillsboro Antique Mall

Ok, we all love a good thrift store find. I make my rounds at the Goodwills, random small thrift stores, and consignment shops that are sporadically placed in South Florida. But never, have I ever been to a place like The Hillsboro Antique Mall. It basically is made of rows and rows of rented out spaces filled with vintage clothes, furniture, accessories, random home décor, old knick-knacks...everything. And the mix of all the different vendors makes for a crazy amount of goods anywhere from the 1800s to now and it's fucking awesome. I can't say it any less intensely, it's fucking awesome. There has to be a billion different things in that place, filled glass cases and piles of items everywhere. The prices vary as the vendors price them but you can tell some of them are definitely undervaluing their vintage Gucci purses. I never buy a lot from there, last time though I did find a vintage Christian Dior neck/head scarf I plan to use for both and purses for $8 that I really adore, but other than that I honestly just love walking around the place. Every single item there is coming from someone's life from the 30's or 50's or 70's, anything, and you really can't know and can't find out. All you do is walk around trying to think who was wearing this, what were they doing, did they buy this piece with their first boyfriend, or what was it like living in a time when the cover of a teen magazine had The Beatles on it (there's this one booth of just old newspapers and magazines, ugh) ? So yeah, the place rules exponentially and gives you the wildest feeling, it's like a hidden secret and I hope to make it a little less of that by sharing it here. My phone was sadly going to die so I only caught a couple photos but there's a glimpse at the chaos and my scarf
