Here's a few more I just was sent too, finding a little New York feelings on West Palm streets

The boy takes a cute picture

Last night was so perfectly chilly. There was this strange misty rain with a cold chill that was such a contrast to our intense warm, rainstorms. It was so nice, like being somewhere else. Had a sushi/Starbucks date and then went out in West Palm. I actually dressed perfectly for the weather with a black bodycon skirt, thin knit sweater, heeled black booties, and my boyfriends army jacket with a black "fur" collar from another jacket of mine that I quickly whip stitched on. Was a good night definitley :)

Room with a view

This took a lot of work and yes I color coordinated the photos based on the tone and hints of color in them. All the photos are from Tumblr, if I could track down every source again I would.

35 mm deep

In honor of the fact that it takes 6 days for a roll of film to get developed, and that roll costs $15 at a drugstore today, here's to the rich man's art of film photography and photos I've taken within the last year that I remember I like. Just picked up a couple new rolls I got developed. $28 dollars my ass...qsaoijadioasdnwoin

And with that, I think I'm going to start indulging in the free art of digital photography with my Canon Rebel that I take for granted.

Brrr

Thrifted cable knit sweater, BDG High Rise Twig Jean: Urban Outfitters, Flora Dr. Martens: Urban Outfitters
It's been pretty chilly the past few days which I've got zero complaints about. Anything around 50° F is guaranteed to put a smile on my face. So here's what I wore, nothing too special but still kind of nice to me. And whenever I post things that are able to be purchased, the blue link or store name in the caption will take you to where you can purchase the item, just a heads up :)

Common Burn-Mazzy Star

I find this quite funny because from the first time I heard this song, my brain always took me to this place of sitting on a window sill in New York with a record of this song going, just sitting, thinking, everything sort of still almost meditative in the restfulness of feeling I was in the place I'd been wanting to be and this is my moment, the moment I had created for myself. Just to be, everything exactly the way. And I guess someone had a similar idea filming the front of a building I'd imagine myself on the fire escape of. Been working on a post all about window views for a bit. Today's been a day of sills and outside views. So might as well post this and a spread of views I've racked up into my saved photos over some time. It's a perfect day for it.

Let's get personal?¿

$8 dollar thrifted mock-neck Men's? Women's? oversized top

My laptop camera is really a joke of quality but I've had a lovely day of lounging on my bed, blogging and drinking coffee. My Saijo Persimmon Voluspa candle burning its apricot and coconut wax deliciously around me drowning out the stench of the half smoked Marlboro Light cigarette I had before realizing I kind of really didn't want it. New York apartment hunting is the most terrible and terribly exciting thing ever, but progress is making way and that's good. Drinking coffee out of my Gwyneth Leech mug is always nice too. A little Anthro product knowledge, she used to paint the plain coffee bodega cups and it turned into these ceramic mock ones, water colored with her New York City views. This one was perfect for the rainy, cold (it actually was really freaking cold today) day it was.

Graphic White

Clockwise from left: I can't find where to get that for the life of me, Tumblr. Streetstyle source unknown, I'm sorry (I'll edit when I find it). Me, in Patti Smith tee from Urban Outfitters. Papaya tee, Etsy. Drawn boobs tee, Diesel (although I'd probably just take a white tee and a Sharpie), image from Tumblr.

Nothin' like a classic white tee with something on it. It's easy and crisp and the varieties of styling options are pretty endless. I like them dressed up with a black jean and heels or casual with some boots. They're the easiest thing to wear and somehow they just always look so good.

Sheer Rebellion

Clockwise from left: Source unfound, Tumblr. Source unfound, Tumblr. Jane Birkin. American Apparel ad. Source unknown, Tumblr. Kate Moss at Calvin Klein 1994.

Yes, just all yes. I love this trend, I love this look, I love this girl. Who isn't for nipple equality? Sometimes a bra just isn't as good as the real thing showing through.

The idgaf shoe

When I was a younger one, I wanted those damn red, sparkly Dorothy shoes more than anything in the entire universe. I'm not sure how I eventually acquired them, my mom honestly could've dipped a pair of shoes in glue and glitter and made them for me, I'm not sure. But those shoes drove my parents crazy over how much little me pined over those things. And now at 21, I kind of want sparkly shoes again. Saint Laurent showed recently a whole slew of sparkly shoes with this bad ass sixties Parisian collection that I loved. I really like the mod-ness of the shape of the shoes Hedi showed, he's a genius in my opinion. A creative soul mate to me. But I'll talk about him and that collection
another time. I think if in any other shape and not a pure nod to the sixties, these wouldn't have been pulled off as well at all but that's why he's great cause he did them perfectly. The cheesiness of this style, lets be honest, kind of is what draws me to it. It's silly and quirky but I think in a cool way. Like a girl that doesn't take being edgy very seriously. Gigi Hadid recently posted on her Instagram a photo of her just purchased shoes from misguided that I think maybe sparked my interest.
I wonder if in a few months I'm going to hate myself for loving this so much but it's this time of year infiltrating my taste, everything sparkly starts to look appealing.

Saint Laurent

So, being me, I was browsing Anthropologie's website and stumbled across these awesome boots that have that sparkle detail while not being too overbearing that I'll get sick of them quickly. I also would not be able to afford the Saint Laurent boots anyway but it always helps to pretend you prefer the cheaper alternative right? I also think with how easily this could pass in and out of my taste it could be fun to just make something myself with a crap load of glitter and adhesive spray, so that's something to maybe think about. I definitely think the styling of these is the most essentially important thing after the style of shoe the glitter is on.
How I'd style mine...

Schuler & Sons Chelsea Boots, Anthropologie. Bella Pullover+Mid rise Twig jeans, Urban Outfitters.
A simple and chunky oversized pullover and a second skin, washed black jean. Perfecto.
Someone I think is doing it right...

From The Zoe Report
I obviously love the all black which lets the boots speak for themselves pop giving the hot pink a tougher look. And nice minimal accessories on the arms, good too.

So um, bells are beginning to ring. Merry Christmas to me with them Schuler & Sons boots?

Photo of the Day

I was first going to do a photo of the day when I saw this on the interweb, then I searched for credit who this is by and found a whole bunch more by her, Neva Wireko, that I really like. So here's some work by her for your viewing pleasure

The layout of the photo above is perfect

And this is so gorgeous, I can't get over it

These photos are honestly amazing, and the type of photography I'd love to be a part of
