There's a cold front coming this weekend, here's a little bit of inspo and feel to take you from Spring to Fall to brace the 70 degree weather...and look good this weekend.

Black on black on black

Think black pointed boots, black skinnies, black hosiery and socks, and a good black sweater and jacket. Key pieces to work with all your other less superior colored clothing. Or wear them with black.
Here's your starter kit:

Jacquemus S/S 2016

Here are my favorite looks from his collection.
He's been my favorite designer for the last year or two from his painted faces to his primary color palettes. I love the freshness of everything he does and how fucking cool it is. Some people don't get him, I think he's a genius. And if he could sponsor me so I could only wear Jacquemus for a year, I'd be happy. He definitely inspires me to deconstruct my entire wardrobe and wear ties as shirts and sleeves for tops.

Also, if you don't already use Asos as a source to find whatever items you're looking for or just to browse, may I HIGHLY suggest it. There are items for any taste and trend, as well as varying from really inexpensive to higher end, and my absolute favorite thing that I haven't experienced in another site like this is the "Catwalk" aspect, where most pieces are shown on a model in a short video. It is the most helpful thing to decide "yes" or "no" on an item, seriously. Especially from an exclusively online shop to go from a couple still photos to a video is so tremendously helpful.

Outfit of the day
Humpday
I'm really sick right now, like really sick. Feeling like your limbs weigh 100 pounds each and all your energy is used just doing the dishes is not so fun. Plus my computer is a little sick right now too. So any sort of blogging is a little tricky right now. Wish me good health and echinacea kisses. xx

"Gimme, gimme, gimme!"
Just a little fall transition with some semi affordable pieces to work into yours (and hopefully my) Fall wardrobe. The perfect pointed leather Chelsea boots, a Western belt, a couple shiny details for that nice glow, and a cute easy dress and bad ass jacket for those brisk nights. I'll at least be copping the shimmer stick.

Electric Intimacy
On our last night living together, Andrew and I did a shoot together just playing around. Hope you enjoy.
Movie Review: Dior and I
I recently rented a movie from RedBox that resonated with and inspired me so very much I really wanted to talk about it. "Dior and I" was an absolutely beautiful and real insight to Raf Simons' time designing an haute couture collection for Christian Dior. It brings you into the atelier and shows you every piece of the puzzle. It is endlessly inspiring to watch people with passion create and shed tears when vision comes to life. I understand that feeling when inspiration and vision hit. But, what resonated with me most was Raf's anxiety. His opposition to photos and interviews and expression of not wanting to walk the runway after his show, a show that was so magnificent and beautiful filled with so much work, because he would faint from being in front of everyone, was something I completely would understand. It's like declining to accept a prestigious award due to anxiety. I'm the kind of person that would cower and avoid things where there's attention on me to take the easy way out. Like I wouldn't have been surprised if I skipped my graduation just to avoid any sort of nervousness even though I would always regret it. So the way the movie ended at his show was the most profound moment to me, I could feel how he felt and it was so inspiring and able to be related to regardless of how large of a scale what he was doing is. I got so ridiculously choked up, crying my eyes out, I couldn't even get a word out to Andrew about why I was so emotional. It had such a response with me and I loved it. Such a beautiful and real movie. I loved every minute. Anyone with interest in fashion, art, couture, Dior, should watch it. And I love the credit to the people who create the designs with the pure talent of their hands.

Beauty review!
I received this tester at work when Kate Somerville products were picked up to be sold at Anthropologie. And holy mother of God. Seriously, praise this woman and her products. ExfoliKate is this super intense exfoliating product that's the color of seaweed and delivers skin like a newborn baby. It's not a daily product, I use it once or twice every couple of weeks and the quality of your skin after using it is like nothing I've ever used before. It sort of feels warm when your massaging it into the skin in a way that feels like its removing all the impurities off of your face. And you have my personal promise that once you dry your face, it will be the softest you have ever felt it. It's stunning and it feels like you're doing something really good for your skin. It's pricey, but I honestly would tell you to go for it. Only a small amount needs to be used at a time so the medium bottle they sell at Anthropologie for $22, will last you months and months absolutely, so yeah, it's worth it.
But first,
Back in my old apartment these were taken, *tear*, but now I'm back in my old, old apartment in Florida. It's okay to be back. I feel up and I feel down but I do definitely feel different. I might be in the same similar surroundings again but I feel so completely changed from my time in New Orleans and I'm so grateful for that. I feel so motivated and determined and not on autopilot. There's a world of opportunity in front of me. Like today, I woke up and made my list of things I wanted to do today. I have to make a deadline to submit for the magazine I was in before for the new issue, *crosses fingers*, and have a lot of blog posts to work on. I'm basically acting like this is my job to do all these things, even though right now it's all for me, in hopes that I'm just building my empire. That's a joke. But it'll be worth something.

Change of scenery
So, I've got some visions for a total room makeover. I need to make it my own little apartment in there and a creative oasis. Half of it has to be a photography studio that I'm going to get a really nice backdrop for off Ebay that I'm stoked about cause I've been taping sheets to my wall for previous photo projects. I've got an awesome faux Persian rug from Wayfair.com (if you haven't shopped from there, do it, they have amazing items for every budget and free shipping!), $30 bucks thank you very much that reminds me of the one my family had back when we lived in Queens and it makes me very, very happy. Part of my room has to be my painting area, the rest of it has to be nice enough I can do photo work in it too and I want to get a great sleek drafting desk, y'know the kind with the upside down "V" legs and a nice big top. A color scheme of white, navy, mauve, pastel pink, dark green, etc. Check the mood board below (it's all I can do without Wifi so I make mood boards constantly with photos saved to my computer)
