I actually have some movie reviews

Yes I do. Not your average but I do. I'm not gonna hit you with some real terminology or anything here. But just think these movies should be seen.

-Predestination
The craziest movie I've ever seen. I haven't seen a lot, but the craziest movie I've seen. It blew me away. Like the brains that created this story, holy shit. So, I definitley reccomend watching this. Like I was gobsmacked. And I didn't even feel like watching it at first. But watched it all with my eyes glued to the screen. Just bravo. Good if you're in the mood to be mind-fucked.

-While We're Young
I kind of just thought this would be a light and very predictable but enjoyable movie and it wasn't. It was really interesting and had good layers and tug and pull. I kept saying out loud how good the movie was throughout, it impressed me a lot. I like the way it captures people in their twenties, at times it was like watching people I knew. And I like that it doesn't leave a clear winner of youth or age. Good for anyone I think but especially mid-life crisis aged people and quarter life hipsters.

-Nightcrawler
Nightcrawler fucking ruled. Watch it. But really, that was a movie that peaked at like fifteen different places. Oh man it was good. A great story of a crazy fucking person. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal has this hairdo every now and then where half of it is pulled back and it's good. Watch the movie for that. Good for a thrill.

HM

I finally have an H&M near me :D it's such a good place for "on trend" things and really good basics. I'm sure I'm not breaking news here to anyone. They had an additional 30% off of their sale that's already so fucking cheap. I scored the perfect soft blazer, oversized fit but so flattering, fucking perfectly cool and put together piece for $10, a stripe highneck very cropped crop perfect for whatever for $7, and a quilted brocade skirt for $7 that fits like a fucking glove and would be adorable with a worn in tee or baggy sweater. Also tried on a specialty skirt but thought I'd save the $20 this time, had a gut feeling to leave it. Then snagged a frozen cafe au lait. Was a really lovely afternoon!

I've been making so much art recently and it's been wonderful to be able to work on things daily. Made a couple pieces recently using new techniques and experimenting with materials. Buying things for the apartment that require a lot of packaging made for great new things to play with :) I'll post some better digitals another time, but really excited about mixing and incorporating all the different ways and styles I've painted to really see what I'm growing into.

Just saying, I was right about the ill-fit jean.

Thrifted Morning

Well I am here in New Orleans! Spent my morning taking myself for a walk and wandered into a thrift store I hadn't been to yet with not too much hope. Ended up getting four really great pieces. And the best part, is the thrift store supports multiple animal wellness charities which item donaters of the store get to choose from, and when the item is purchased, funds go to the charity of their picking. All animal related. So it basically is a win-win. Cool stuff for you, charity for animals. Left with a black scuba dress, vintage Guy Laroche scarf, handmade gingham skirt or top, whichever I feel, and a wood drying rack that is holding magazines right now. All for around $20
