Went Downtown with my boyfriend a couple nights ago and we had some fun getting some really cool shots. We've been working on photo projects together so we got to play around a bit when we went out. Always a pleasure working with him :)

Painting turn out
My mood boards actually came in handy for my newest piece. Really happy with the outcome and have gotten good response to it so far :) Taking up the space between my door and closet door now.
Facetime
Maybelline is my go-to cosmetics brand. Their products always feel young and fresh and they hands down have the best packaging which really does (maybe just for weirdos like me) make a difference.
I use currently a BB cream as a lotion and skin perfecter, foundation as cover up for blemishes if I have them, and cream blush to add a rosey hue. It's been my little skin trifecta. My preference most of the time is having nothing on my skin but these still make it feel like my skin can breathe and I'm not caking anything on. The Dream blush is a really pretty pink color that looks fresh and rosey on the apples of cheeks. They're all available under $10 at my little slice of heaven, CVS.

Painting mood boards
I have a day off today which has been filled with cleaning my room now making it feel quite good and it's getting the creative juices flowing. Plus, I've realized that if I keep refilling a Fuji water bottle, that I will spend the entire day chugging on it due to the cute bottle shape. So I've been back and forth between chores and bathroom visits so far today. And watching the show "Younger" which I kind of like. So yeah, it's been a good one so far. Just browsing through my recent Tumblr archive trying to put together some photos for a bit of a mood board for my next painting. I have a really scrambled brain on what I want for it and actually don't really have any concrete idea, which is when I have the most fun. So, I'm ready to start playing around with it's 18"x 20" blankness.
At this point, it beats me what's gonna come out. And I'm starting to guess this is going to be a two painting kind of thing.

The Wooden Heel
The new summer shoe is a mix on a simple sandal and a Swedish clog. I like the delicate look of them mixed with the strength and coolness of the wood heel especially in contrast to the more clunky "unisex" types of boots or sneakers I normally wear. I've been seeing them pop up at places I shop and definitely see them as being a growing trend this year. They're a teensy bit off, and not overtly sexy at all, which is sort of right on my taste. I'm excited to play around with them with a clunky sweater and black skinny jeans, a delicate top and mom jeans, or an oversized tee hanging over a mini skirt. I think they'll be a fun addition in the growing spectrum of my wardrobe these days. Which speaking of, I really need to start spring cleaning again on it and get rid of a lot of shit before this girly gets her butt to New Orleans!

From the roll
Sitting while my friend skateboarded.
Aftermath of shooting with Gloria. A whole shitload of very empty water bottles.

Miami pastels and greens
My shots from wandering around Miami, unedited on 35 mm film with my Minolta SLR. Want to play around with these a bit but I love them.
